At the opening ceremony, His Excellency, the Vice Minister of MCI, Mr. Augusto Júnior Trindade, stated that this training was organized in collaboration between MCI and UNDP, with the goal of empowering young innovators by providing them with the knowledge to prepare their business plans and ensure the success of their ventures in the future.

“Many projects have been supported by UNDP across the country, but what stands out the most in strengthening the economy is the Innovative Business Competition (IBC) through the YEES program, as we are truly preparing our entrepreneurs from the beginning to learn how to create proposals and organize their business ideas,” said the Vice Minister of MCI.

The Vice Minister of MCI also highlighted that this training enhances business knowledge, empowering participants to achieve success in the future.

“These training sessions will have good follow-up, especially regarding cash flow management, and this will serve as a fundamental foundation for the success of the programs in the future,” informed the Vice Minister of MCI.

At the ceremony, the UNDP program manager thanked the MCI for its ongoing willingness to facilitate the training of young people, providing them with greater knowledge about business planning.

“I thank the leadership of MCI for their cooperation and for being an excellent partner of UNDP in the implementation of the YEES and IBC programs, supporting our youth in diversifying the economy of our country,” said the UNDP program manager.

The program manager also encouraged participants not to be afraid to ask questions to the instructors during the training, as questioning is key to better understanding and learning.

The training included 42 participants selected for the Innovative Business Competition (IBC), coming from IADE and UNDP. The training will take place over five days in the ADMPMEI hall in Matadouro.
